PowerStock currently operates a pellet mill dedicated to processing purpose grown crops and agricultural residues. Our facility is located in Boardman, Oregon, strategically located close to our feedstock supply and three modes of transportation – rail, river, and truck. Our multiple feedstock supplies and delivery options position PowerStock well to meet customers’ needs.
Crop Residue Pellets
- Our crop residue pellets are derived from corn stover, wheat straw, and grass straws. They deliver 7,000+ BTU per pound and are built to meet your standards.
- Our ag pellets support emerging market requirements from domestic utilities, industrial CHP, as well as European utility specifications.
- The residue is sourced from over 400,000 acres controlled by our grower partners with whom we have worked for over 15 years.
- Our harvesting, collection, and year round feedstock needs are all met with supplies that we manage from the field to the pellet.
Dedicated Energy Crop Pellets in 2010
- PowerStock is producing a closed-loop energy pellet based on dedicated energy crops that meet European renewable energy market requirements. Our energy crop pellet will be produced from dedicated crops being grown and harvested during the 2010 growing season.
- We are working with the top energy crop seed companies to optimize our energy crop growing program to growing conditions and pellet specifications.
- We take advantage of otherwise un-productive and under-utilized crop growing windows for which there are little to no options for our grower partners, what we call Relay Cropping.™ Combined with our sustainable harvesting process, the energy crop relay rotation actually enhances the ground for primary crops.
